Anonymous User ID: When you first open Mochi, we generate a random anonymous identifier (UUID). This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.

Uploaded Content: When you upload photos or PDFs, we extract text from them for AI processing. The original files are immediately discarded and never stored permanently. Only the extracted text is retained to generate your notes and flashcards.

Study Data:Your notes, flashcards, quiz results, and study progress are stored to provide the app's functionality. This data is tied to your anonymous ID.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate AI-powered study notes, flashcards, and quizzes from your uploaded material
  • To schedule flashcard reviews using spaced repetition algorithms
  • To track your study progress and quiz scores
  • To manage your premium purchase status

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers (Supabase). We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Original uploaded files are never stored — only extracted text is retained.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Novita AI — For AI text generation (notes, flashcards, quizzes). Your extracted text is sent to their API for processing.
  • Supabase — For secure cloud database storage.
  • Apple / Google — For in-app purchase processing.

6. No Account Required

Mochi does not require registration, login, email, or any personal information. Your experience is fully anonymous.

7. Children's Privacy

Mochi is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no personal information is required to use the app, children can use Mochi safely.
