1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mochi ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Mochi is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to generate study notes, flashcards, and quizzes from user-uploaded photos and PDF documents. The App includes spaced repetition scheduling for effective study sessions.

3. Free & Premium Tiers

  • Free tier: 3 notes total. No flashcard or quiz generation.
  • Premium: One-time purchase of $4.99 (USD) for lifetime access to unlimited notes, flashcards, quizzes, and all future features.

4. Purchases & Refunds

Premium access is a one-time, non-recurring purchase processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google per their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Mochi. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it through our AI systems solely for the purpose of generating study materials for you. Original uploaded files are discarded after text extraction.

6. AI-Generated Content

Notes, flashcards, and quizzes generated by Mochi's AI are provided for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should verify important information against authoritative sources. Mochi is a study aid, not a replacement for your course materials.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Use automated tools to access the App's services

8. Limitation of Liability

Mochi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, incorrect AI-generated content, or interruption of service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
